When Biting Is Not Playful
Dogs may bite if they are shy and do not want to be handled or picked up, or if their owners are telling them off and they become afraid. This type of biting is very different from play biting.
Dogs that bite for reasons other than play-biting will be still, stiff and tense when approached by humans. Usually the dog will try to avoid hands instead of moving towards them. Go to ‘Aggression to People'
