Bruin was always okay to be left and would settle down happily with our other dog, Tilly. Then Tilly died unexpectedly and Bruin was inconsolable. He started to chew things when left and eventually dug a huge hole in the sofa and, later, the mattress upstairs. Once we understood why he did this and began to apply the ideas in the 'Don't leave me! Solving Your Dog's Separation Problem' ebook, he started to settle down and, eventually, after a few months of careful treatment, was content to be left again as he always had been.
